Front desk area under construction on our visit so the images on the website are far removed from reality. Room was well finished; must have been a refurbished one; no coffee making facilities. Good location. Staff not the most engaging; "breakfast" not worth mentioning

Two stars instead of one for some cool wallpaper in the bathroom of when the area was known as the West End and one member of the maintenance staff did try to adjust and reset the room HVAC, unsuccessfully. Otherwise, it's a one star, hostel-like hotel. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are decent. Elevators look like they belong in said hostel or a college dorm. Lobby looks like nothing the pictures. There is no bar, no restaurant and the place is littered with trash and boxes. If you're a HH member, you can use your $18 for some drinks and snacks from the lobby display, maybe. When I tried to do so, the front desk attendant, with no name tag, but clearly from one of Boston's finest neighborhoods, took a while to let me know she couldn't charge it to my room so I got the items for free (thanks Hilton!). It took several minutes for her to even look up from the very important text message she was working on while I stood there. HVAC in the room essentially didn't work ( I see numerous other complaints on this site with similar experiences). A member of the maintenance staff did reset it and it cooled off for a bit, but then went warm, very warm, again. Room temp was 76F when I woke up, thermostat was set for 69F. Recommended hotels in the area, which this one certainly won't make that list, include the Courtyard Marriott or citizenM down at North Station (only a few blocks away), the Canopy by Hilton or The Bostonian Hotel down by Faneuil Hall in the other director, or even the homeless shelter, Center House down on Bowker St.

Hilton but not as you know it. Pictures on the website are nothing like the hotel, it's frankly fraudulent to advertise this property in this manner at the present time. It's littered with boxes, discarded food cartons and little lighting, not the bright and welcoming pictures of the website. Not managed and appalling guest experience and service. Not a single staff member is identifiable as no name badge or Hilton logo, so only assume they work here, they huddle round the valet station outside or behind the reception desk which is littered with boxes and a heater. Photos below show what is advertised on the Hilton website versus what is actually the reception desk and bar area.....spot the difference?

There was no bar as pictured or described. The room was freezing. We had to wait to get someone to fix it. Towels were like sandpaper. The walls are very thin so we could hear the neighbors at 6:00 am .They must have been packing to check out because housekeeping swooped in immediately to vacuum. Only positive was its proximity to TD Garden and coffee in the morning.

The room was so beautiful, clean, and very cozy environment. The only thing that sucked was no toiletries (shampoo, conditioner or body wash).. which is normally fine, but I had forgotten mine this time so would have been nice to have. Other than that, lovely stay and staff was incredible
